COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION

SOCKET, SOCKET WRENCH, NONPOWER, 1/2 INCH DRIVE,

12-POINT, REGULAR LENGTH

The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description in preference to Type II, Class 2, Style A of Federal Specification GGG-W-641.

Salient Characteristics:

Conform to ANSI B107.1, Class 1, Style A, double hexagon opening, 1/2 inch drive, in the sizes specified.

The issue of ANSI B107.1 in effect on the date of solicitation shall be used to determine compliance with stated requirements.

Workmanship. Sockets shall be free from rust, fins, burrs, tears, caused by punching or broaching operations, external sharp or rough edges, corners, surfaces, and defects which may impair their serviceability, durability or appearance.

Regulatory requirements. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable.

Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking. The preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
