COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
WRENCHES, ADJUSTABLE
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial
item description in preference to Type I, Class 1 of Federal Specification
GGG-W-631.
This commercial item description covers adjustable
wrenches generally used in plant and machinery maintenance on both hexagonal
and squarehead bolts and nuts.
Salient characteristics:
Adjustable wrenches shall be in accordance with American National Standards
Institute ANSI/ASME B107.8M.

The issue of ANSI/ASME BI07.8M in effect on the date of invitation for bid or request for proposals shall be used to determine compliance with the stated requirements.
Regulatory requirements. Contractors/offerors are encouraged to utilize recovered materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable.
Preservation, packaging, labeling, and marking. Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
