Workmanship. The ladles shall be clean and free from scale, pits, nodules, burrs, cracks, blowholes, sand inclusions, dark colored and chilled spots or any other defects which might affect appearance or serviceability.
Quality Assurance Provisions.
Inspection . Sampling for inspection shall be in accordance with MI L-STD-105, Sampling procedures and Tables for Inspection by Attributes, except where otherwise indicated herein. The lot size shall consist of all ladles of the same size offered for acceptance at one time. The sample unit is one ladle.
Examination for visual and dimensional requirements. Each ladle shall be examined for workmanship, marking, and dimensional requirements. The inspection level shall be Special Inspection Level S-2 with an acceptable quality level (AQL) of 4.0 percent defective.
Testing for thermal shock. Each ladle shall be tested for thermal shock. The inspection level shall be Special Inspection Level S-1 with an AQL of 2.5 percent defective.
Regulatory requirements . In accordance with section 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations, the Governments policy is to acquire items composed of the highest percentage of recovered materials practicable, consistent with maintaining a satisfactory level of competition without adversely affecting performance requirements or exposing Supplier ‘s employees undue hazards from the recovered materials.
Preservation, packaging , packing, labeling, and marking. Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or purchase order.
Notes. Purchasers should specify diameter of bowl, and dimensions in the contract or purchase order.
The issue of referenced documents in effect on the date of invitation for bid or request for proposals shall be used to determine compliance with the stated requirements . sources for obtaining referenced documents may be determined by contacting the Contracting officer.
